Camera locations

Western Australia roads are covered by a network of fixed and mobile speed cameras. Cameras are located on our high risk roads and intersections to prevent speed and red-light offences.

The Western Australia Police Service like drivers to be aware of most speed camera locations to encourage you to slow down and try to prevent a serious or fatal collision.

Mobile speed locations are published online weekly, in newspapers and broadcast on numerous radio stations. Current fixed site locations are available from the WA Police for you read.

Travel tips

Autoworks safe holiday travel tips

  • Focus on the road and do not get distracted with your mobile phone, food or others in the car.
  • Before starting your car make sure all passengers and you the driver have buckled up.
  • Take rest breaks during long drives, if you are feeling tied then pull over and take a nap, you will refresh your brain and be more alert.
  • Observe the speed limit and if the weather and conditions are bad then reduce your speed.
  • Drinking and driving are not an option and don’t let your friends drink walk home, put them in a taxi, train or bus. Australians are killed drink walking.
  • Slow down near railway crossings and be alert for signals and signs. Many railway crossings don’t have boom gates and rely on you reading the signs.
  • Dress comfortable when staring out on your long holiday drive.
